In 2012, he was rescued with his 4 siblings in Virginia. They were all different colors so they were named after gem stones! Jasper, Ruby, Topaz, Opal, and sweet Onyx.

Onyx was the last kitten of his litter left to be adopted so my heart broke and melted and I instantly fell in love with this sweet kitten who was all ears and legs. It’s pretty common that black cats are left until last which breaks my heart because I’ve never met a black cat that wasn’t super sweet!

I never met his siblings, but I like to imagine that Onyx was always the boss and in charge even when they were out there in the wild. :) Black cats rule!
